Services for the Month of July

July 6
Gems from General Assembly
Yes, I will be bringing highlights or tidbits or news, whatever strikes me as pertinent or probing, important or interesting from General Assembly 2008. My hope will be to inspire others to join me next year in Salt Lake City!

July 13th
What is Your Totem and Why?
Molly Brinkerhoff, Annette Lovell and another will share what their totems are and why? Service led by Molly Brinkerhoff and Annette Lovell.

July 20
Simple Solitude; Finding Peace in Small Wild Places
Though the magnificent mountains and forests are nearby, and vacations may restore our inner harmonies and feed our spirits, we can’t always “get away” to the tranquility of free time and open space. How might we take advantage of alternative sources of serenity?

July 27
The Real Color of Wealth
We tend to think of money as green, but a careful examination of the facts reveals that US laws and policies have assured that “wealth” is usually colored “white.”

August 3
Ida-UU’s?
Here in Idaho we Unitarian Universalists are a miniscule portion of a small population of progressive-thinking people. Who are the “other” Unitarian Universalists in Idaho? What difference can knowing about other “Ida-UU’s” make?

Spirit Rising by Ruth Barnes.
A mobius strip represents the renewing and rekindling of energy. The chalice is nestled within the mobius' fabric folds and the flame rises from within each individual. The double circles of Unitarianism and Universalism halo the flame of rising spirit from within every indiviual. Used by permission of the artist. Photography by Arthur Kull. From the Idaho Falls Unitarian Universalist Art Collection.
