During the month of August, we will meet in the downstairs fellowship hall where it is cooler, and the services will be less structured and feature a topic for open discussion. Please note that children’s Religious Exploration will resume in September, but they are welcome to join us in the fellowship hall this month.

Almost every religious tradition includes an element of mysticism and what people describe as having a “mystical experience,” whether that takes the form of a union with the divine, enlightenment, or something like a feeling of “no-selfness.” Our discussion topic this week is: Have you ever had a “mystical experience,” and whether or not you have, do you attribute this phenomenon to something divine, something psychological, or something else?
