Our guest speaker will be Jim Francis.

Jim Francis is an award-winning educator. He taught history in the public schools for thirty-seven years, retiring in 2011. His main fields of teaching were U.S. History, European History, and Chinese History. After his retirement as a full-time educator, Jim taught part time for six years for Idaho State University’s History Department and Honors Program. Additionally, he has taught several classes for Friends for Learning at University Place in Idaho Falls.

Jim is currently serving as a member of the Idaho Falls City Council and is in his second year of his second four-year term. His current liaison assignments include the Police Department, Community Development Services, and Idaho Falls Downtown Development.
